BUMP ENVY

Name: Corri McFadden
Neighborhood: Chicago, IL
Occupation: Occupation at Founder/Owner, eDrop-Off luxury consignment
Baby’s Sex: Girl

How would you describe your pregnant style?
I define my style as Rocker Chic. I’ve kept with that during my pregnancy, incorporating a lot of black including Joe’s black denim jeans, long maxi dresses by Seraphine and graphic tees.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?
Yes, the challenges would change each trimester along with your bump. One day a boyfriend tee fits great, and the next day it fits like a tiny tee! I found it’s important to have options in my closet for when meltdowns occur. Also, stretch is your best friend! Embrace your body, keep true to your personal style and your sanity will follow. It might just take a bit!

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
I never knew pregnancy brain was real! Also, prior to being pregnant I never finished my plate, and then already start to plan my next meal!

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?
Nom has some great basics that are easy to throw on and dress up or down depending on your accessories. I’m also thankful that my friend Christian Siriano made me a couple of dresses to get me through my evening events (tip: it doesn’t have to be maternity, it just needs stretch!).

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
Taking her to Christian Siriano’s studio for her first fitting, and then to Laduree for her first macaroons! Also, taking her to see Bergdorf’s holiday windows at Christmas time, they are magical!
