5 Qs with Emily

Bump Envy

Name: Dr. Emily Kiberd
Neighborhood: Carroll Gardens
Occupation: Chiropractor and Owner of Urban Wellness Clinic in Midtown Manhattan
Baby’s Gender: Baby Boy

How would you describe your pregnant style?
Casual Cool, If Alexander Wang made a maternity collection, I would buy every piece

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?
Baggy is more comfortable, but fitted is more flattering, finding a balance of the two is key.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
Pregnancy is the most mindful practice I have ever experienced. Every day you feel different, like swollen fingers, indigestion, and waves of emotion. Being an on the go NY’er, you roll with what comes your way and realize you can’t control the majority of what happens, only how you react to it. Moment to moment mindfulness, pregnancy has been more powerful than my daily meditation practice.

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
Unconditional love and cuddling.

What’s your 5 registry essentials?
Ergobaby organic carrier (I’m such a sucker for organic cotton)
Miracle Blanket swaddle
Nose Frida (for getting out the buggies)
Dex DayDreamer Lounger (I’m told this is a must especially when the baby gets sick and has a hard time breathing. This helps them sleep on an incline for better breathing and drainage)
A good glider (we got ours from giggle)

Emily is wearing:
Iro leather jacket
Hatch dress
Satya Earrings (similar style)
YSL flats
