How would you describe your pregnant style?
Since I am my own boss and work from home, I have the luxury of being laid back in my pregnancy style — whatever is comfortable (and isn’t sweats!). Basically, all summer I’ve been rocking non-maternity dresses, and now that it’s colder, I plan on wearing a lot of cozy sweaters, jeans and boots.
Have you had any challenges learning to dress your pregnant body?
I was my biggest in the summer last time around, which is much easier to dress and less to purchase — a few dresses in rotation did the trick. This time around, having to shop for maternity pants, jeans and leggings has been new to me.
So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
How big I am already the second time around, which apparently is totally normal, but it took a lot more work hiding the pregnancy in the early months this time around!
What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?
Well, who doesn’t love Hatch? I have a cozy striped turtleneck from them and I can’t wait to wear it when it gets a wee bit chillier. I’ve been stocking up on basics from the Gap, ASOS & H&M as well — I’d rather have a ton to choose from that are all affordable than one or two pricey pieces, honestly. Though, I did promise myself I’d treat myself to something special this time around, likely from Hatch, ha!
What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
Being my second NYC baby, I’m looking forward to revisiting some things I did with Juliette when she was little — bookstore story times and things like that. There’s also a TON more baby-friendly options in my Brooklyn neighborhood than there was when Juliette was born, so I now have options right outside my door, whereas the first time around I really had to seek them out.
