Eva Chen’s Baby Gear Picks Are Here!

Well Rounded’s weekly links are here.

It’s finally starting to get cold outside, and we’re all hiding out indoors sipping something warm, trying to keep the flu at bay, and browsing gift guides. Check out the latest picks in baby and maternity gear, find out which product may pose a fire hazard in your home, and more in Well Rounded’s Weekly Links.

1. Eva Chen, mama and Instagram’s Director of Fashion Partnerships, has put together a list of the top baby gear picks in every category. Each item comes with helpful tips from personal experience, and she’s donating affiliate revenues to United for Puerto Rico. You can subscribe to her list for seasonal updates on the latest and greatest gear.

2. Did you purchase the Fisher Price Soothing Motion Seat or get one as a baby shower gift? The motorized bouncer/soother is being recalled. Apparently, the motor is prone to overheating, posing a fire hazard. You can check your model number (under the motor housing) to see if it’s on the recall list, and contact Fisher Price here for details on how to get your refund.

3. DockATot, the brand that makes the cozy newborn and toddler cosleepers, just released its Fairytale Collection. Already a favorite for families and a registry must-have, the new designs feature florals and marbleized prints that are super soothing and so chic. Shop the Fairytale Collection here.

4. Every woman wants to feel sexy, but not at the expense of feeling comfortable. Meet the LIVELY brand, designed by mom of two and former Victoria’s Secret executive Michelle Cordeiro-Grant. Unable to find anything stylish and comfortable when she was nursing, she decided to add mom-friendly picks to her popular leisuree line.

5. It’s a great thing that postpartum depression has been getting more and more attention, and as a result women are able to get more help with their symptoms. We don’t usually however talk about postpartum anxiety, which can slip under the radar as being just “new mommy paranoia.” Read my account of how my anxiety started to take over in the weeks and months after I had my daughter, and how I finally decided to ask for help.
