20 Under 1 to Watch

Our hot list of 20 influential NYC babies.

Think an infant can’t be an influencer? Think again.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the most influential babies in New York City, whose parents are leading, innovating and transforming the creative landscape around the globe. From musicians to tech titans, photographers to chocolatiers, these parents are literally doing it all, even with a little baby at home. In fact, for many of them, it’s that baby at home, who’s motivating and inspiring them to keep on doing the cool things they’re doing every day. Which makes these 20 infants the REAL influencers in the family.

To celebrate these babies, and the launch of Cybex’s new baby, the Jeremy Scott Priam, we asked fashion photographer Shawn Brackbill to capture these power babies in all their glory. Meet the 2016 “20 Under 1 to Watch.”

  1. This is satire, right?

    1. Hi Mona! We had a lot of fun with this piece. We do admire all of the parents and mostly love the fact that none of them take themselves too seriously.

  2. This seems like a fluff piece. Why weren’t the babies asked harder, more meaningful questions? What do they see as a solution to the housing crisis or the L train shutdown?

  7. Literally not one brown baby to be found, eh? Two biracial babies, but apparently there are NO black power couples in all of NYC. OK, thanks for that clarification. Gross…..

  8. Big fan of your articles/projects but this one is a little weird. Should have just been “top influencer couples and the next gen”. To pose sweet babies as “influencers” themselves (which, honestly, what does “influencer” really mean)…is just…odd.

  9. Advertising. How clever.
