How would you describe your pregnant style?
I guess you could describe my style as adventurous and edgy, yet comfortable. I’ve always been the type of person to gravitate towards those articles of clothing that look weird on the hanger. You know those silhouettes that you are usually too scared to wear because you are afraid it will make you look pregnant? Well, I have been taking FULL advantage of those. It’s been a blast!
Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?
Being pregnant and dressing for my growing belly has actually been a really fun challenge for me. It’s a balancing act between staying true to yourself and your own individual style, while keeping it comfy. There has been a ton of trial & error along the way.
So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
How empowering it can make you feel. It’s amazing what the human body can accomplish in 9-10 short months. It makes you feel like a superhero! An extremely tired, hungry and cranky superhero, but a superhero nonetheless.
What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?
I’ll be honest, most people have food aversions during pregnancy… I have maternity clothes aversions! It just doesn’t sit well with me. Maternity jeans & denim shorts, on the other hand, I am all for it! I live in these Pea in the Pod brand boyfriend jeans! I’ve been shopping at a lot of the same stores I always have. Besides the usual department store suspects, I’ve been scoring some great pieces at Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters & Zara.
What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
I am envious of any baby who gets to have Central Park as their backyard. I cannot wait to take Baby Hutts for weekly strolls there. It’s such a magical place.
